We're no longer strangers
Checking in briefly from Long Beach!
Its been a crazy few days her in Long Beach. Crazy indeed... but couldn't have been better, either. Our team this year is absolutely phenomenal, and I am amazed several times a day at how very incredible they are. I am greatly looking forward to spending the next 8 riding with and getting to know these folks... a huge blessing!
From constant laughter, too many pictures (if that's possible?), and inside jokes that have already begun, I have no doubt this summer is going to be EPIC. Its so hard to believe we have known each other for only 2 days... and even more unbelievable that we bike out of LA (Long Beach, actually) in the morning! I am really excited, though, and feeling a bit more confident after finally getting to ride with the team when we went down to the beach this afternoon for pictures, etc.
I wish I had words to express all the thoughts and feelings and joy and excitement I am experiencing... and that the team is expressing together through lots of energy and chatter! Soon, though, I hope to encounter many of you supporting us and making this trip possible and worthwhile... and I hope then, you are able to experience this community of love and joy in the same way I have.
Also... I just realized I can update this site through texts with my cell phone... so I'll do my best to update more often this year than I did last year!

Jen, I am so excited for you and the team! I am also excited to hear how well the team seems to be meshing already--you'll have lots of time to bond, so glad it's off to a great start. I'll be working on things for Dallas and very much looking forward to seeing you there, giving you a hug and meeting more of this year's team!!

Go Jen Go! I am so jealous. We all are. I commit to praying for the team, and for praying for you and Drew every day, by name. That you would be safe, inspired, have favor with the team and with America, and that you would know when to talk, when to hold your tongue, when to work, when to rest, when to be strong, when to be weak, and that you can keep pedaling. You are loved.
