whoa, that's crazy.

so, before I left Jackson, I had been improving pretty well...but once exams hit, well, yeah...

I decided I wouldn't stress too much about getting in awesome rides during exam week because they would be my last finals, and it was really important for me to do well on them. then came graduation (yay!)...family came down to visit, lots of parties, and moving home...obviously not a lot of opportunities there. now i'm home, and my bike's in the shop, getting a great last tune-up. today's my birthday, so we've got plans tonight. I'll pick it up later this afternoon, and finally go on a group ride in the morning.

so, what does that mean for this last little prep time? first of all, donations are wonderful! the trip is pretty much paid for (just have a few more last things...toiletries, a little more gear, etc.)...that feels great! I think some people had been kind of concerned about it being possible to make the financial deadlines, but God made it happen! also, I feel like mentally I am so ready! (well, I guess I really don't know what I'm about to get myself into, but I'm just so content, not nervous, and just SO excited! God is so up to something. this week he is doing some amazing things and showing his glory, and I am loving seeing him move in powerful ways) but...physically, I need to have a super successful last week of training on my bike...gotta ship it in a week...then a week of cross-training. I was really nervous about how that would go being in a new place. I've done almost all of my riding in Jackson, and now I'm back home in Nashville, where it's super hilly, I'm not too familiar with routes, and I don't have a consistent partner...trying really hard to find some groups not too far away. I guess that part does make me a little nervous, but God is able to meet all of my needs.

here's what I want to ask for: first of all, I hope you will rejoice with me about God's providence over every aspect of this journey. he is so good, so loving, so faithful, and so perfect. also, would you please pray for me that God will give me strength and provide opportunities to have a really successful last couple weeks of training? I would appreciate it a whole lot.

that's all for now.

Erin

seriously, don't let this girl fool you...I saw her DEMOLISH a fairly steep hill today. I was gasping for air and stomach was churning and she rode up and never missed a beat with this amazing smile on her face the whole way...You all will be so blessed to have this one keeping you humble...I know. LOVED the ride today, Erin.

Erin,

I will definitely be praying for you. You are so calm and collected...wow! I envy your composure! God has been so good in providing for me as well. I love that he uses us despite our inabilities.

Take care,

Seth
