It seems to be a familiar tune that comes up as we ride. Random bursts of sing song really soothe the soul, even more so on the bicycle. If you're a rider, try it. If you're not a rider, well music is really a soothe all solution, especially the classics like, "Time after time".

If you fall,
I will catch you
I will be waiting
time after time.

That's really the only part of the song we know, so we end up singing it several times until another stanza of another song pops up.

So anyways, here it is the fourth day of riding and I'm just now getting around to updating this bloggamajiger. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting other than I was riding across America with a group of people for some friends in Africa. I never would of thought the depth and heart of the people on the team and those we are encountering along the way.

The first couple days of the ride were incredible. The pacific coast highway boasts some of the most beautiful coastline I have ever seen, and I found myself struggling to snap shots of it as I was coasting down a hill on the ol' bicycle, it happens more often than not now because I want to remember all of this! Will minus most of the desert. One picture could encompass most of what it offers.

The third day, which most claim to be the hardest, well.....was the hardest, and quite possibly one of the hardest days of my life. 11 hours of peddling, 20 miles of wrong turn, flat tires, wrecks, and hills so steep i'm not quite sure how they black topped, but the last ten miles of switch backs down hill made the whole day worth it. We came down from 4000 feet in a little less than 10 miles into this beautiful valley. Would I do it again....I'm still debating that one.

I've got so many things I want to write about, but It would take me all night! The fact that we have to get up at 5am doesn't motivate the thought of writing for that long either, but i promise to keep everyone updated the best I can. Miss everyone tremendously, but I'm enjoying my time with some incredible people.

Cheers,
Cody

Wow, bro....you are doing it......doing it....and doing it well.

I'm still prayin'. Man, is it getting interesting here. I am extremely jealous of all the other riders....simply because they get to experience the "Cody" factor on this trip. I am positive that they are enjoying your company.

Go get em' tiger.
