Once again, Google Maps failed to get us through our entire loop, ending our ride abruptly at a nuclear power plant next to the beach.

Such a pity.

The weather was warm, the water gorgeous, and the pollen starting to irritate my skin, so we sprinted into the water, ignoring concerns about drenching our bike shorts and such. Ce la vie, yeah? Of course, I really didn't have that much to lose - I've still been riding in my regular spandex (sans chamois) - so, for me at least, the wet ride back was great! I'm almost tempted to jump in the shower, clothes on, before every ride.

Yesterday also marked the one week anniversary of my discovery of snot rockets! SO attractive. I noticed a passing rider shoot a couple (with ample distance between us, of course) at the beginning of a long ride, so I thought I'd pass the next five hours giving it a try. If you ever need to entertain yourself on a ride, snot rockets are the way to go. Unfortunately, my first couple tries also led to some wet riding.

Enough said.
