Somewhere in the middle of my woe-is-me-cryfest I started thinking about our friends in Africa. The children that have to walk for miles each day in order to fetch dirty water for their families to clean with, cook with, bathe with and drink. These kids don’t have the luxury of a Mother Falcon to pick them up when they are sick. If they feel queasy or sick, they either have to keep on going and deal with being uncomfortable or go without water for a day. Neither of which are very good options.
Realizing this gave me some much needed perspective on my upset stomach. Sometimes it takes frustrating situations to make things sink in for me, go figure.
