Downhill, you go kinda fast. And I hit a butterfly. And it hurt. Because I was going fast.

We climbed up to 8670 ft yesterday. Then we still had 90 miles to go. At least it was downhill.

After a little mix up on the road, I crashed into Jen's back tire. I was able to unclip, jump over my bike and bail while running. My front rim has a broken spoke, and it's a little bent. Hopefully it's fixable, I'd hate to spend cash on a new rim. Alas.

I like my bike

Taken down by an insect my young strapping nephew? Points for agility on the dismount from the bike though, that must have been interesting. Take it from me, keep you mouth closed when you see a swarm of insects ahead, nothing like catching one in the throat and HAVING to swallow, because it's already half-way down....yechhh! Ride strong!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Only you! Glad you made it all the way though! Sorry about your rim. Get a new one if you need it! My prayers, and others, for your safety must be helping, as demonstrated by your gymnastic bail-out and running hurdle of the bike! We'll keep it up! Ride safe!
