I experienced something amazing today... today, wrecked me. We went to an inner city mission in Longview, TX today for lunch. Last year this group of people gave $2,000 to Blood Water...now they have raised over $6,000...they have an opportunity to give donations everyday at lunch. When I saw people who don't have much come and give the change they have...I was humbled and in awe of the pure beauty around me. I sat by Greg at lunch and he, 1st made sure I knew who Jesus was, second talked about the water cause they are raising money for...He told me he tries to give at least 25 cents every day...I told him that was amazing!...he said,

"well someone has to do something about it."

Yes, someone does... No matter how hard a day of cycling may be for me...it doesn't compare to the offering and humble sacrifice the people at the mission offer everyday at lunch. I'm glad we can partner together in solidarity to make change for our brothers and sisters in Africa.

This tour is kind of like the body of Christ on wheels. I've been amazed by who has stepped out to offer us support and services...it's not always who I would have expected. Just like the Body of Christ...sometimes you're a different member then you expected and sometimes there are people along side you serving that you would not have expected. From Long Beach, to the mansions in Phoenix, to the homeless in Texas....this tour continues to encourage me to believe that the church (you and I) really can make a difference...really can make tangible changes and impact the world for Christ. The change may not come immediately and may not come in the way we planned or expected but I believe it will come if we work together and keep our ears open to what God has in store.

It's so good to hear the stories from Texas, I hope God makes me into someone willing to "do something about it"
