Hi from Long Beach!

We just got back from our last training ride, the tour starts tomorrow! We started out the morning with a couple sessions about bike safety and using hand signals and then set out. The church we are staying at is a couple miles from the ocean so we rode down a path next to a drainage canal until we caught our first glimpse of the Pacific. This is my first time in California and I've been amazed to see so many of these things out here are real. Like Lakers' fans...we watched game 4 of the finals with some real Lakers fans and they were into the game let me tell you. Anyway after we got to the end of the canal and to the ocean we headed south past the Queen Mary, a huge ship similar to the Titanic, only it didn't sink, we're going there for a tour tonight. We had lunch in the parking lot by the beach and took a bunch of team pictures with our matching jerseys and shorts and then back to the church. It's been a good couple of days of training and we're all ready to get started tomorrow! Until later...
