3 days straight. Swimming over the road. It always lets up as soon as we get to a church, and starts up again as soon as we head out in the morning. I think it's fun, unless it gets so bad you can't see the road, there's no shoulder, and the rain running down the road makes you think you're riding your bike backwards. No bueno. But I like the rain, especially better than 110 and 97% humidity. Thanks, Jesus.
On another note, they changed the schedule for the last week. We were supposed to get into Baltimore on the 6 (in fact, when I applied, that's the day the Tour was supposed to end), but now we're not supposed to get in until 6pm on the 7th. Unfortunately, I need to be in New York getting off a bus about that time, so it looks like I will have to ride my bike into the Atlantic in Baltimore without my team. Sad day. . .
I wish I could say Virginia is pretty, but it's been raining so hard I haven't been able to see much more than the asphalt. Wait, I forgot, can't see that either, haha. Alas. Go team!
