Hello, from San Diego!

Well, we made it to San Diego! Today, we rode about 66 miles and had a great day. Lots of laughs and lots of fun. We rode about 40 miles before we got a break for lunch and the ride up until lunch was great. Great weather and great views. Then the hills started and these weren't little hills like in Tally...these were the steepest and longest hills I had ever seen. The first one we came to was 2 miles up a mountain. Everytime you thought you were gonna peek, the road turned and kept going up. It was crazy, but we made it up at 6mph. :) Then the hills just kept coming. We even made it up one of the hills at 0mph. It was our last hill in San Diego and we started to go up, but both Erin W. and I's legs were just not moving and I heard her laughing and looked behind me and saw her on the ground. I burst out laughing because she said her speed kept falling lower and lower to the point where she just fell over. We decided to walk up this crazy steep hill and were thankful we did. There were a few others that had to do the same thing. I was bummed that I ended up having to walk, but my legs were just done. It was the perfect end to a fun day! We got to our destination and our host who is also, named Lisa Marie came and picked up Erin W., Deb and I to go back to her place. We took nice long showers and just enjoyed relaxing for a little bit. All of our hosts have been phenomenal. The love and generosity of these people is incredible. I am so excited about the many more adventures to come on this trip! Tomorrow, we are meeting back with the team at 6am to ride about 80 miles through the mountains. I will be sweeping with one of our leaders Drew. Which means we are the last 2 riders of the day. We make sure no one is left behind. It will be nice to take it slow up the mountains.
