Workout

Now that I'm starting to get super busy, finding the time to workout is so difficult.
I'm getting super excited for the trip though. Actually, anxious is probably more accurate. i really don't want to lose it and like start balling through the whole trip. i feel so unprepared.

i was thinking about having the team go do a workout in the pool together. I could make up some sets that would work endurance, abs, and legs. Good team bonding time. =]

the most difficult day was the first day. so many thoughts went through my mind about how i should not have signed up for this, and how i was going to go home after we got done for the day. i cried the entire time, and questioned everything.

but what got me through? i can only say confidently that Jesus really did. i mean, i read 2 corinthians 12:9-10 a lot. "my grace is sufficient for you. My strength is made perfect in your weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong".

I can only boast in Christ when I talk about the ride, because there is no way I would ever be able to do this by my own strength. So, that's what brought me through it when i felt weak, and like i couldnt go on. Also, my teammates really really helped encourage me to keep going.

as far as excersize before the ride goes... i trained the least on my team. what i would recommend is riding 5 or 10 miles a day if you can fit it in. and just stay active.

i hope this helps, and again let me know if you have any more questions, or anything you need. =]
