What I am Learning

Hello Everyone...

 

Sorry I haven't blogged in a long time.  I have been struggling with what to say.  I want to be encouraging and postive, but find it difficult to write words that reflect my heart and not my circumstances.  Each day is filled with physical strain, high activity, and emotion. I fear writing about those things would give wrong impressions.  And my sin wouldn't reflect God's heart for Ride:Well.

A fonder heart

Well...we made it to Texas!  I'm still in shock that I am actually on tour.  REALITY has set in.  100%.  The farther I get from Arizona, the more and more I miss home.  Too far now to hitchhike home.

 

I miss my boys so much.  I miss Loren.  I miss our quiet time in the mornings as a family.  Sweet moments with God, His Word and a good cup of coffee.  Just sitting with Loren out back for hours each morning.  Then having John and Eli wander out, morning breath and all, messed up…

Angels Do Exist

The attack of the bees. It was like a movie.  Satanic, relentless, buzzing bees.  I have never been more overcome with fear.  For you see, I am allergic to bees.  I screamed out for God to save me.  For God to protect me.  I kept shouting truth after truth....God is my shelter, my refuge, my protector.  I had to keep riding in order for the bees not to overtake me.  So then I shouted for God to give me strength to ride faster.  My body did not want to go up any more…

Choosing to Stop

Well....it's been a full two weeks for me on Ride:Well.  My blogs haven't come easy.  It is difficult to put into words exactly what is happening to me.  There's pain, struggle, emotional upheavel, doubt, confusion, attacks, soreness, lack of sleep, schedule changes, injuries to bodies and bikes, mountains, mountains and more mountains, broken hearts, chapped lips, chaffing bottoms, sun burns, and the list goes on.  But through all this, there is VICTORY.
