About Me:: I just got accepted to be on the '09 Tour and I couldn't be more excited! Last year, my friend Jessica Blocker did the tour and I followed the team every step of the way. But this year, I get to do more than follow along, I get to ride the whole thing! I am excited to be part of such an amazing opportunity and look forward to what God has in store!

Hello, from San Diego!

Well, we made it to San Diego! Today, we rode about 66 miles and had a great day. Lots of laughs and lots of fun. We rode about 40 miles before we got a break for lunch and the ride up until lunch was great. Great weather and great views. Then the hills started and these weren't little hills like in Tally...these were the steepest and longest hills I had ever seen. The first one we came to was 2 miles up a mountain. Hills and Heat!

Since my acceptance on the tour, finding time to train on top of my usual Monday night training, has been really hard for me. However, this week was a success! I was able to squeeze in a couple extra days, which got me up to 76 miles. It felt awesome. Some of the rides were tough because the heat is also, really starting to kick in here, but certainly worth it. The wonderful farmers tan that will only get better during the summer has definitely started for me, as well! :)
