- I am so excited to be apart of this adventure. I am a little nervous but excited. I have not been on a bike in a couple of years and I have not owned a road bike before. So what am I getting myself into! I would not change this for the world though. I have talked alot about this to my friends, family, co-workers, and even strangers. Each time I get more excited. I am proud and amazed at everyone who is willing and able to participate. It is amazing to me how much people are willing to help and sacrifice to help others who suffer. God has given us so many amazing gifts and I think this will alow us to use them to their fullest.
I have grown so much in these past few years, largely because I continue to step outside my comfort zone. My passion is people, whether it is getting to know them or helping them. My love for life continues to grow as I take the opportunities as they come. This bike ride will be challenging in so many ways and im sure I will get homesick. At the same time I know I will enjoy raising money for those in Africa, learning more about myself, learning about others, and getting closer to God. Thanks for reading!!

Its all about serving
Highlights from this weekend: potent garlic drenched french fries, a cheesy over the top movie, a random surprise bday party for shannon (which included a monologue, dance to "all the single ladies", and rap by Cody). Our team is so goofy which makes things so much fun. We are not afraid to be ourselves. We joke, dance, and sing at the top of our lungs. We strive to make each other laugh no matter how silly we look.
This has definitely become a real family. We do EVERYTHING…

First blog: I love my team :)
Hey guys! I have had a lot of "firsts" just in these past couple of months since signing up for the tour. Writing this blog is another first I can add to my list. My list of firsts would consist of : wearing spandex, riding a road bike, climbing a HUGE mountain on my bike with panniers on the narrowest shoulder, staying with a group of 10 to 12 strangers (my team) on the floor of a church, and the list continues to grow.
