sounds redudant. i agree. but, it is right to say that it is a process. processing. i feel it happening in stages.
stage one. realization that you are really doing this thing (whatever you will need to process) or that it is going to happen to you.
stage two. whatever goes through your mind while it's happening (processing during the process). this stage is tricky because you usually cant get your mind around it. you have to focus on being in the moment, even…

there is something on my heart that i have to figure out. that i cant quite pinpoint. i wrote one blog this summer, and it summed a lot up. it told of how i am blocked. of what i was missing for a while. the love is definitely back. but i also feel lethargic. like maybe there is this mental block not allowing me to process. i think it starts with Clay.
i found out i was leading this tour on november 12, 2009. and on november 13th, before i could tell my step dad about it, he…

Im having a hard time coming up with words. Too many things have happened since last November. Too many things to process. Too many transitions. I feel like life is happening and I cant keep up. And now im on this bike tour. And it’s going incredibly well. The people on this team are amazing. Like the kind of people I wish everyone had the chance to know. To see them ride everyday over mountains,…

oh man. we are having a goood ol time on this tour. we have been so blessed since we began in sunny san diego. despite facing long hills, steep climbs, headwinds, sidewinds, semi's passing quickly by, no shoulder, flat tires, defective wheels, food allergies, emotional ups and downs, tummy aches and dizziness, we are rockin it.
today we rode 37 miles into Cambria, ca and it was such a nice ride. it's been so cold which is really different for me being used to biking in such…

To be honest, I'm not sure how I heard of Blood:Water Mission. Maybe Jars of Clay? I don't know. A lot of my favorite artist are all based out of Nashville and I always get emails from them talking about a benefit or something. I've known about them for maybe over a year so I've continued to follow their awesome work for our neighbors in Africa.
Not gonna lie though, Donald Miller was the one who got me considering The Ride:Well Tour more and more, but it was still an idea in the back of my mind for quite a while. haha
I'm glad you liked my story! :)
and yes I do have a facebook.
It would be under Alexia Austin.
Thanks for your comment. I have looked into the tours already. They look amazing. I actually heard about the organization while reading Donald Miller's A Million Miles in a Thousand Years (I see you've met him from your picture). So I checked it out and it sounds like an adventure I'd love to be involved in! Unfortunately my trip may have to wait until next/next summer until I can raise the funds! But it is a trip that is on my heart and will no doubt be a part of hopefully soon!
Are you riding again this summer? How did you hear about it?
First, Margie is trying to get me to do north with her this summer, so you better add that to your list up there of people you want to meet. Don't hate. We're ending slavery: IJM. Look it up! You're building wells.
Uh, oh, uh, wait, did I just say we? Margie's getting to my brain already. NOT we. MARGIE is ending slavery by leading north, and maybe me.
Anyways, is Aaron Smith paying you with butt butter to say hi to every new member of this site? It sure looks like it.
